NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC: PERU IS ONE OF THE BEST DESTINATIONS IN THE WORLD TO VISIT IN 2023

26/10/2022 Peru continues to position itself as one of the best tourist places in the world. An article from the prestigious publication ‘National Geographic’, published today, places the country on its list of the best destinations to visit in 2023.

This was reported by the Commission for the Promotion of Peru for Exports and Tourism (Promperú), which said that the choice of the best destinations is framed in five categories: nature, adventure, culture, community and family.

In this regard, the archaeological site of Choquequirao has been named as one of the five must-see adventure destinations for international tourists with a view to 2023.

National Geographic highlights that Choquequirao is one of the most remote Inca centers in the Peruvian Andes and is reserved for those who are willing to make the effort to reach it on foot. The only way to get there is by walking in zigzag through a steep terrain, along 28 kilometers and up to 3048 meters high, suspended between the Andes and the jungles that extend at the feet.
